Job Title: Marketing Manager

Location: London

Reporting to: Commercial Director


We are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to communicate the unique value proposition of Emerging Communications through content and live events, to specified roles within our key target markets in the UK.


Joining a successful and growing team in London, this role will work alongside our sales and delivery teams to develop and implement our marketing strategy, create and distribute content and report on key metrics demonstrating successful elevation of our brand and lead generation.




  1. Original Content Creation & Distribution
  • Content strategy
  • Content ideation
  • Content editing & production
  • Posting / sharing on social channels
  • Hubspot email campaign



  1. Event Management
  • Online & offline calendar
  • Directing the event content
  • External events and EC owned events – from planning / sourcing to execution
  • Owning event planning, invitations and logistics


  1. Content Amplification
  • B2B outreach and lead gen
  • Paid outreach activities i.e. Linkin Ads campaign, external paid email outreach etc.
  • Media relations and PR opportunities.


  1. Measurement & Reporting
  • Report on top of funnel metrics (views, engagement)
  • Report on middle of funnel metrics (new leads / email signups)
  • Liaison with sales team to identify successes to repeat
  • Manage marketing budget and report on performance
  • Providing administrative support and maintaining data across CRM system and email subscriber lists



  1. Brand
  • Support the implementation of our brand strategy, ensuring brand consistency internally and externally – working with CD and CEO
  • Administrative support to the wider commercial team, developing relevant sales collateral and resources
  • Awards submission and calendar – working with wider to team to identify suitable categories and campaigns and produce winning entries.


  1. Internal Relationships
  • With client delivery team to surface case studies, testimonials, and shareable content from our work.
  • With consulting & insights team to surface interesting insights into the China market suitable for social media shares or longer commentary
  • With sales team to make sure the content calendar is aimed at providing top-of-funnel lead flow of the best prospect personae



  1. External Relationships
  • Managing and sourcing external suppliers for paid activities


Required Skills


  • Exceptional copywriting for online publications & social media


  • Understanding of B2B marketing – B2B content marketing, SEO and CRM


  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written;


  • Strong inter-personal skills;
    • Upward management of senior stakeholders
    • Collaborate across teams


  • Commercial Awareness; demonstratable interest in company and industry
    • ability to identify market trends
    • use insights to create effective marketing activities


  • Basic online production & publishing (blogging, social posting, email)
  • Organisation; self-motivated, strong time management and ability to prioritise to meet set objectives





  • Basic graphic design abilities (Canva / Photoshop or equivalents)
  • Understanding of key web analytics and KPI’s
  • CRM/Email
  • Funnel building and marketing automation (Landing pages, follow-up emails)
